THE KING'S MACHINE, a FILM with SUPPER
Ripe Village Hall, Wednesday 28 May, 7.00-9.30pm
The King’s Machine is a documentary made by film maker and aviation historian Phillip Day telling the stories of two young men from the Beverley area who joined the RAF Volunteer Reserve at the outbreak of war in 1939.
This film is being shown as part of the parish's VE Day celebrations, and stands as a tribute to those RAF Regulars and Reserves who served in World War 2 and a poignant reminder of those who gave their lives and is being screened.
There will be a bar accepting donations and supper of chilli con carne will be served before the viewing. All profits will go to the Ripe Church Roof Appeal
Tickets are £10 each and available from Ripe Village Stores, Deanland Stores and Laughton Village shop.
