The Chalvington Trust was formed in 1973 to distribute modest grants arising from the income from the sale of the land and properties on the Chalvington Parish School site.
These grants are made to support young people and adults living in the parishes of Chalvington with Ripe and Laughton to further their educational, cultural and spiritual development.
In particular to support for education consistent with the doctrines of The Church of England. Trustees have also been able to support organisations that provide for these young people and adults, provided that there is a clear link to the parishes.
The Trustees are the Rector, the churchwardens of the three parishes and the Archdeacon of Lewes, representing the Diocese of Chichester. They will meet to consider applications for grants once a year with the grant payments being made in September.
